My friend & I worked out like crazy tonight & decided to go earn those calories back (& then some)by going to a restaurant. We decide to take his car & we push the button start and the car fails to start. All the lights come on, the instrument panel lights up, etc. But the car doesn't start. My friend remembers that its happened once before, years ago, but he doesn't remember what he did then to rectify the issue.

He then takes a moment to think about what he did & then very slowly pushes the starter button. The V-6 kind of shudders initially (best I can describe it) and then rumbles into life. After that, there is no problem.

What do you guys think happened? Has anyone else encountered this in their Lexus GS?
