I think nearly all manufacturers are having issues with those pano roofs. Hyundai was having problems with it creaking/popping in the Sonata too.

Good luck with Toyota. They strung us along until we were almost out of warranty. We eventually gave up and traded it in and have never looked back. They know that there is a problem with the roof, however they are not going to repair it because they will not send a field tech out to look until a dealership admits a problem. I found it impossible to get anyone to report a problem to Toyota past the initial breakage that was covered under warranty. What a service manager that I know did tell me unofficially is that they cannot fix it because of a poor chassis design, and don't want to lose the money to buy it back. Therefore, until the government forces them to issue a recall or buyback, they are going to continue on like there are no problems.

We have stopped buying Toyota after the Venza and will never own another one.

Note my edit, there. Glass is rigid, compared to steel, but it is brittle. Window glass in most cars, is tempered and will shatter into tiny pieces so people don't get sliced to death by shards. (Windshields are laminated glass to absorb impact)
Glass roofs are fun but not a good engineering idea. For that matter, big metal wheels are a bad idea, but the manufacturers and aftermarket companies supply them because, in both cases, people think they are nifty.
