Long story short, I tried to install my Fuel Filler Door and I failed, so now im going to get a mobile mechanic to do it. Whats a fair price to pay for the installation of a Fuel Filler Door? I know it doesn't take long.

I'd drive it to a small body shop and pay a guy 20 bucks to install it in the parking lot.

Yeah I’m not sure a mechanic is the best person to do body work.

I doubt you need a body shop to do a Fuel Filler Door

The body shop guys take cars apart and put them back together. Doing your door will take them a few minutes at tops. Your mechanic has probably never replaced a fuel door.
