OK, if you didn't want 2 vehicles would it not have made more sense to trade the Camry in on the Rav-4?

That said I have always liked having at least 2 vehicles, I do most of my own service so this way I do not "have" to do all the mainteance on weekends and "have" to get done by Sunday night.

If you take your car to a shop, same thing though - if one's in the shop a couple of days no big deal.

I'm assuming the Camry is paid for.

Check what insurance would cost for both, it won't be 2X what one is.

The dealer is still a few hundred low on whole sale. you could cell it for between 9500 and 10500 probably pretty easy with that mileage and if its really clean and with maintinance records to a individual.10500 is about what a dealer would ask at min.iumum

Default Good comments everyone !

Y'all really make sense.

However, trade-in wasn't an option cuz I bought the 07-RAV4 from my daughter; and I'd'ruther NOT have to deal with the public in selling the Cam

My original question was whether or not the dealership would "haggle" over their quote........ and by their lack of response and some of y'all's answers, I seriously doubt it

If I procrastinate and keep/use both vehicles for a while longer........ would the price go down?

You can always ask, but that seems about right for trade in. KBB doesn't buy cars, and higher values on cars means more clicks on the site, which means more ad revenue.

Really, your car is perfect for private sale. Good car with low miles.

I don't see them negotiating on the price they offered, because they have no reason to.

And yes, the value of your car drops every day. It's a depreciating asset.
