Another great aviation event is the yearly one in Oshkosh which is a combination of airshows, airplane exhibits, camping under one's own airplane and much more. See EAA AirVenture Oshkosh - The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration .

I hope I can make it to Oshkosh this year. Its about 1300 miles from where I live though so it would be a real trek to get there.

We used to go to OshKosh when I was little... and then after being in Fort Lauderdale for so long, I was blessed with the presence of the Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea Show every year! They didnt have it last year, I heard, but supposedly theyre bringing it back..

I love air shows!

Yes, it is one the air show schedule so it should be back this year sometime in August. There is also Sun-n-fun in Lakeland which is hte 2nd biggest experimental aircraft fly-in in the country. It is also an airshow.

Oddly enough, I have never attended the show because I live about a mile from the airport and watch a lot of the "skycrobatics" from my house. But I would really like to ~ may do it this year.

I've watched some cool airshows in San Francisco during Fleet Week.
During the Memorial Day weekend which in the middle of the NYC Fleet Week, every year there is an airshow in Jones Beach, Long Island (next to NYC) featuring either the Navy Blue Angels or the Air Force Thunderbirds. So you can get a great airshow with a day at the beach. You can also check out the planes from Republic Airport (a small local airport) where the planes all take off from and land after their performances.
