I wasn't worried about Van der sloot, cause I'm too old for him (35) lol!
Glad that punk is in prison....

O/P Enjoy Aruba is amazing
Where are you staying?
Westin. I really wasn't concerned about safety, but more of a waste of time tourist traps, you know, like things I should really seen, things I should skip.
I can't wait!

Thank you, eureka, we will try our best
I used to live in Vegas, so I am over casinos. I am going to the Carribean during hurricane season, so I wanted to go to an island that would not be affected by them, if one should come while we are there. Plus Aruba was pretty cheap, at the time of the booking.

Thanks, everyone for your responses!

Unless you're going strictly for the beach and other touristy amenities, Curacao is nicer.

I stayed at the Westin as well, lol... it was great! Nice grounds, and they have a bunch of parrots on the grounds (in cages) which are cool 2 look at... sunsets are beautiful, make sure you see them! Aruba is famous for its sunsets. Im pretty sure most rooms have some type of ocean view, even if its just a sliver. We also went during hurricane season- we were planning on going to St Maarten but a tropical storm formed, so we changed our plans @ the last minute and were so glad we chose Aruba. (went to St Maarten later- Aruba was way better in our opinion!)

I don't recall any 'tourist traps' being an issue, also just remember that any tour price is negotiable.
