Hi all, I'm relocating from RI to WY at the end of the month and driving out there. My plan was to take either I90 across MA and NY to cleveland, then I80 the rest of the way, or take I84 to I80 in PA and stay on I80 the whole way. It looks like the I90 route is slightly farther (less than an hour difference), which doesnt exceptionally concern me. Any comments as far as scenery, tolls, traffic, road conditions for each?

Going I-84 to I-80 is much less hassle.

I-90 is flat the entire way. I-80 has a lot of mountains, and if you get stuck behind motorhomes and trucks, you could lose hours.

I don't have much experience on I-90, but having driven through PA on I-80 four times in the past year, I can tell you the speed limit is strongly enforced.

I stick to around 70-72 in good weather and don't have a problem. I find it's people that go 75 and above or tail gate trucks or other cars, get yanked.

I sware for the 10 years I lived in Pittsburgh and drove to NY, I-80 was under construction!

I-80 is a very pretty drive though.

I-80 seems to always be under construction. I think that one bridge at Clearfield exit 120 was finally finished after 5 years of fooling around.
