In terms of scenery, I'd say Vancouver, Canada. The Mountains are so close and there is the Inlet, Bay, and glass skyscrapers everywhere. But I was not all that impress with their nightlife, urban setting. I'd thought it would be a bustling city.

It was stunning to sit on a cliff side cafe and watch the ships below.

Too hard to pick but if I am being bullied into one , prettiest to me today ( it will vary depending on my mood) would be Dubrovnik because I am missing the sea so much at the moment...

But tomorrow it might be Florence or Sana... who knows.

I have been to all those I listed and all were pretty and beautiful in very varied ways. To pick one is to me impossible. It is like those "what's your favourite book/song/movie" ?

How can one pick one item when the human soul is so complex as to give us different feelings and emotions for almost everything in life ? My "favourites" depend on the moment I am in.

Gosh, so hard to choose. I would say, in no particular order: Vienna, Oxford, Münster (NW Germany), Rothenburg ob der Taube, York and Portmeirion.

Kind of hard to choose, but a few sure bets are:

Amsterdam, Netherlands
Montreal, Canada
Troyes, France
Kilkenny, Ireland
Old San Juan, Puerto Rico
San Francisco, CA, USA
Princeton, NJ, USA

For a longer list, I could include New Orleans, Brooklyn, Barcelona, Genoa, Vienna, Reykjavik, and many others.... This summer I'm going to Venice, Split, Dubrovnik, and other Adriatic places, so I may need to revise the list.
