I visited Ljubljana, Slovenia on a whim and fell in love, planned to spend 2 nights and stayed for 5.

Paris and Barcelona are world class.

For North America, San Franciso.

I cried when Christchurch got hit so hard with the earthquake, because it was so beautiful. Sydney was beautiful. Hanoi, Vietnam; Istanbul; Prague; Puebla Mexico; Dublin; Bruges, Belgium; Sienna, Italy; oh yeah, and Venice--just beautiful. Too hard to pick a favorite. I even thought Cairo was beautiful with all the tops of the mosques floating off in the distance. Oh and i almost forgot--Josslyn France. Several towns in France really. Barcelona.

Probably Rio de Janeiro. Viewing from above, the panoramic expanse.

Mine would have to be Bariloche, Argentina for the beautiful snow capped mountains and greenery. Second would be Toledo, Spain for the architecture.
