Having driven from Seattle to Chicago on I-90 just a couple years back, I can tell you what to watch out for:
everything in between the two metro's

It's a long, boring drive and my Blackberry didn't get voice or data for most of the trip. Stay in the car while you pass through whichever Dakota that is as the people there aren't too open to outsiders with accents. Have fun!

I am driving from Seattle to Chicago while stopping at Yellowstone near Montana. Could you please suggest the route to follow and what places to visit in Yellowstone?

I liked Missoula in Montana. I got lucky in that they had a large street fair on the day I went there plus great weather and food stalls.

You can see all four or so main parts of Yellowstone once inside (its a circular route with helpful signs in many parts of the park) or pick and choose. I saw Old Faithful erupt and saw some of the eye catching lakes and geysers.

A lot of people seem to stop in Billings or Bozeman, MT and Gillette, WY. I think I stopped in Gillette prior to Missoula.

Madison, WI is a neat town, but fairly close to Chicago so you might not want to stop there.

The drive through SD is boring, and I would not visit the Badlands if I was doing the trip again. Yellowstone is far more interesting.

mod interpose: this thread will now be closed as the discussion has really never been nor is it now about Seattle in general. Inayat, you can post your inquiry in the Wyoming forum if you wish. Thanks. --'r

Hi Guys,

I am planning to drive from Evansville, IN to Grand Teton Ntl park, Yellowstone and then to Glacier Ntl Park. While coming back I will visit Mt. Rushmore and Badlands. Any Tips?

Thanks
