Has anyone visited Tortola? DD really wants a swim with the dolphins experience so I am looking for feedback on what it is like there. Any info on the dolphin swim, accomodations, restaurants, etc. would be greatly appreciated!
It was 9 years ago, so things probably have changed, but we had a good time.
We went there a couple days before a week-long yacht cruise, then stayed a couple days afterward.
All of the BVI is nice, but Tortola was my least favorite part. My suggestion is to spend a couple of days there, then charter a boat and cruise the islands. If you're not interested in a charter, at least take the ferry over to Virgin Gorda and spend a few days over there, too. The Baths on VG are not to be missed!

Personally I think those dolphin experiences are cruel. No sympathy from me when penned and made to interact and perform wild animals snap - I mean, can you blame them?
You may be right. Since I posted this I have been doing some research and it doesn't sound like the nature experience one would think it would be. I wasn't aware of problems with the dolphins hurting people though (I assume that is what you mean by snapping?). I think we will look into more humane ways to see dolphins. Thanks everyone for your responses.

Agreed.

You'll see plenty of them if you go out on a boat.
You might just see them when you spend time on the beach, I see them all the time here.
