This is VERY IMPORTANT in Italy ^^^^^^^^^
(One of my least favorite places, but it is QUITE unique and there is bound to be something that will suit you perfectly... I was just not too comfortable there figuring out why all my Lira was evaporating (tolls, fuel, food, lodging all were WAY more than I had available) planning / driving / parking / hosting /& with family responsibilities... It would have been much more fun 'single' )

My kids really were impressed with the ladies in minkcoats and SHORT dresses, riding 'kamikaze' scooters in the rain, while smoking REALLY long cigarettes. Only in Italy

Rome, Venice, Florence, a hill town in Tuscany, Pompeii. I would take at least two days in Venice. It's a fascinating city to wander around in. You almost might want to visit some of the other islands like Burano with all its colorful buildings and lacemakers.
