Yes, Ankara Turkey. The Hittite Sun emblem. I guess that 'not Europe' hint narrowed it down to very few possibilities.

Yess - I guess that one was too easy.
One of the most controversial monument, as the creator was a buddy of the former major of moscow.

I don't know but I'm guessing that the harbor having a horizon view is a clue - that inner harbor bridge probably is too. Sure is purty!

And hey, usually whoever wins the challenge provides the next challenge - but I'm usually cool with someone taking my turn

Douglas it was easy-ish for me but wouldn't be for everyone - that's partly what's fun about this - plus it's an interesting one!

This should be easy--lots of clues. A very popular cruise port in a non-British place, probably an island, that has no natural harbor and high relief on the shore. Drawing a blank. I've tried places like Guadeloupe, Tahiti, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii, no luck.

Ya the high relief reminded me of Grenada but I think they're too small for all that.

I don't think it's a 'rule' - just how it's been going. Ok, now give us a hint - but not too obvious.
