Not Bangkok nor Singapore but close...

Big Hint: This is not just a temple. It is a temple complex that is the largest in the region and boasts a statue that is tallest among its kind in the world. Here's another photo just to the right of the first photo.

Is it in North America?

Is it in the same country as one of the cities that has already been guessed? Which would include China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, Taiwan, Venezuela, North America?

Is it on the same continent as one of the cities that has already been guessed?

Is one of the Chinese group of religions the predominant religion in the country, or is it some anomalous structure plunked down in someplace like the Central African Republic or Chattanooga. as weird religious fanatics are prone to do?

Is it Baxter Springs, Kansas, which would place it near the tallest steam shovel in the world?

Is it Indonesia?

Is it Burma?

Is it Philippines?

I can keep making wild guesses forever.

Is it Mongolia?

Is it Cambodia?

Is it India?

Is it Brunei?

Is it Kirabati?

Yes... pretty good for a country that is "even less likely to have such a temple" huh

I thought of Penang right away, but never expected that skyline. It used to be a funky little Chinese Key West. I guess I have to get out more.

This is not me and Mrs. 88 in the boat. Probably a pic from a postcard, with totally overblown color.

That old fortress-like building made me immediately think of Syracuse, but I don't think that's it.

Is that close?

Let's say, in historical but pre-columbian times, it was in the same empire. At least twice.

Looks Moroccan... perhaps Rabat or Casablanca.

Anyway, good luck to all. I have to sign off for the night.
