The body of water is much bigger than lake Michigan and this part of it isnt in Quebec.

Is this a natural feature, or something created for a winter carnival? I found a picture of something similar at a place called Norwich, which might be the one in England. Other similar pictures had no captions.

Or is it Pamukkale, Turkey?

It actually is a hot spring that has mass amounts of Calcium Carbonate in the water and when it evaporates it leaves these terraced sheets
