The background looks to be something on the upper mississippi so I didn't remember lacrosse or dubuque having that skyline so I checked out the upper ohio and wheeling, west virginia looked rather interesting

RangerDanger may have given away a big clue in the "view image info" window.
Santas house eh= Google images comes up with a Santas House that looks very similar to the one pictured near Rovaniemi Finland..

I'd say that looks like the Point Iriquois Lighthouse near Brimley in the UP

Thats correct 
Thought the white sand would throw you off as a lot of southern Lake Superior is mostly white sandy beaches
heres a shot taken about 10 miles away
