This is in the Lofoten Islands. I can't remember the name of the town but I have been there many moons ago.

well, these types of pictures are 'sometimes' only perceived that way. There's typically a landing or a slope directly underneath but since the camera's not catching it, the picture looks more impressive as far as the "courage" of the subject.
but then again, there are spots that are 2 or 3k of vertical drop.
