OK.
It is in, oddly enough, an ice cream parlor in a North American town. The town is on a local highway named for a famous explorer.
At both ends of the highway are famous geologic locations.
The town is the same name as one elsewhere in North America, that was named for an English Lord.

The question at hand is the name of the Ice Cream Parlor, and the name of the town.

Are you up to the challenge?

The town in question not only has the same name as the one in another state, but got the name from a relative of the person the first was named for.

This lord was unique among his peers due to his residence.

Nope.

The Explorer for which the road is named was quite the swashbuckler, and rumored to be a Lady's man to a rather powerful lady.
