If so, how long did it take you to caravan out there? That's pretty remote and well off the beaten path.
Yes, that's where it is. It's one of the places I've used in this thread that Ive never been to. In fact, I've never even been to Chad.

Believe me, there's not much to see there except the occassional Libyian patrol on the wrong side of the border. It's as desolate as the nearby Qatarra Depression, over in Egypt. But, at least the Depression has a road going through it!

It looks a lot like a rendition of Our Lady of Fatima, so is it in Portugal?

Oops, I only saw the second picture. The close-up looks more oriental, maybe Japanese.

I'm pretty sure I never even heard of the Ennedi Plateau - had no idea Chad had anything that looked that way - there are loads of those natural arches out there. Thanks for the pic JT!

No, not Malaysia.

The key to solving this puzzle will be to figure out who the statue represents.

Ok sorry - I confess 'malaysia' just popped into my head and I went with it - sometimes it works!

Looks like Madame Chang Kai Shek, but a search for statues of her draws a blank.
