Not Puerto Rico or Panama and not the right continent either.

Is it a place in SE Asia or the south Pacific that is influenced by or associated with a US military presence?

No, to both of you.
I guess there is no US military presence in this area.

Maybe I put in another picture later on, if nobody finds the answer.

There are too many elements that can be anomalies, so none of the clues are useful. Background buildings seem to be Spanish or Italian, but the main buildings are simply "modern" and could have been built anywhere in the world by any architect. It's a right-side driving country, but that only rules out British. Trees in landscape probably exotic ornamental, but tropical enough for palm to grow. But grassy hillside vegetation argues against wet/dry season climate. A dredged waterway in a hilly topography is odd. Contrail not likely from civilian air traffic, but you dodge the question of military presence.

The only thing certain is that it is in a prosperous locality, if not country, where landscaping and infrastructure are well attended to, and nothing reflects historical background---it's all modern. Prosperity plus tropics. Could be anywhere. I don't think the answer is there to be "found", unless someone recognized the particular building.\

I'm stumped and I think everyone else is.

Okay, I thought all my previous ones were to easy for you, so I rather choose a difficult one.

Two more pictures.

The continent is correct, the country isn't.

So we've ruled out Spain, Italy, and Croatia. Does that also rule out all of ex-Yugoslavia, or only Croatia.

How about Portugal? Greece? French Riviera? They all look pretty much the same.

I think we now have our first clue. We have to nail that church.
