Yup. The wall of the train station was one of the few walls left standing, but the quake stopped the clock, and it was left that way as a monument. I was there five years later, and it was an impressive reminder of a disaster, for which few traces remained.

Presumably, trains ran on time, and people heading for the station knew whether to run or not.
