I'm a million miler with Delta. That's actual miles flown, not this pansy "I get airmiles for this credit card" ploy.
I would say most of these answers that you may receive may be grossly exagerated for the people that say "millions" unless you were in the military or in the industry or something, it took me 15 years to get million status, and that is with being a yearly gold medallion level for most of the time. I think according to Delta less than 100k have reached MillionMiler (and yes, some do reach multiple million miles), that is out of potentially a population of tens of millions of flyers.
If you are registerd with a frequent flyer program, your miles are logged since you joined and available on a website. So no reason to guess.
The site keeps crashing and then I can't get back in for a long time. I'm almost finished, and at 86,000, but I'm entering each flight only once, even if I did the same flight more than once or back again the same way.
Total (until I remember some others):
86,000 miles (plus duplicated or return legs)
84 airports
50 countries
79 flight legs. http://my.flightmemory.com/jtur88
Those that have ff accounts can simply log in to see their mileage balance (at least per airline) and also each flight taken for at least past 12 months. Last number is total actual miles flown since joining:

While most of my fights were with Delta, whom I have a ff account with, there were quite a few on other airlines as well. I don't have ff accoutns for those so the website provided was helpful in determining my mileage so far this year.
Probably from 14,000,000 to 15,000,000 but who counts at that level? But as Dd714 said, those in the industry are not plain travelers so we rack up flying miles just dropping off time sheets.
Interesting question Coolhand. I looked up the distances between cities I've flown to - it works out around 245,460 miles. Given that I live at the other end of the freakin' universe you think it'd be more. The majority of those were on Qantas (Boeings, not this A380 tripe), some were with BA (never again), Air France (ditto), Delta and Southwest.
Instead, I've kept track of the airports I've flown into/out of. Kind of like a birder's life list. Bonus points for the little puddle-jumper places and the glacier in New Zealand.

And how many airports is that, for you? I never tried to count the ones on non-scheduled, but probably not many of those. I'm at 85 on scheduled flights.
Around a million. I've been flying regularly since 1989, some years much more than others. The most in a single year was well over 100,000, the least was around 5000.
