From Sanford to Fort Lauderdale
I am flying into Sanford Airport from Ireland and I need to get to Fort Lauderdale to board a cruise ship next day. Can someone advise an economic means of travel.

Thats tough. The best thing to do would of been to just fly into Fort Lauderdale. You are talking a 3 and a half hour bus ride (or drive, if you were to rent a car).

Please visit Greyhound.com - they do have a schedule from Sanford to Fort Lauderdale.
The fase are quite reasonable - I see if you purchase 7 days in advance it's $29. Good luck to you.

I would check if there is a shuttle first, and then if not I guess the most sensible route would be to rent a car. If you're in a day early, the car would allow you to see the area better obviously. It just may mean paying to park the car while on the cruise.

I would check if there is a shuttle first, especially if you booked your air through the cruiseline. If not, I guess the most sensible route would be to rent a car. If you're in a day early, the car would allow you to see the area better obviously. It just may mean paying to park the car while on the cruise. I know there are a couple car rental companies that have desks in the Sanford Airport. We rented a car there once when we flew from England.
