I'm not sure if you guys will find this interesting or not, but I couldn't believe how cool looking Mogadishu was in the 60s. It is scary what just a few years a place can turn into.

Interesting, but not surprising. Colonial Africa was booming under Britain, Italy, France, Belgium and the Portuguese in the post WWII era. Now look. Africa wins again.

Funny that - Somaliland gained independence from Italy/Great Britain in 1960, and now it's a toilet. Likewise with Rhodesia, Congo, Chad, Sierra Leone.... stand by while South Africa and Kenya join the heap....

they may restore the economy and still is a poor continent. But I think now they have changed.
