Default Bottled Water in Colombia (or other So. American countries)?

How easy is it to find bottled water in major cities in Colombia?

Do the restaurants serve bottled water?

And is it safe to just drink any brand?

It's been a few years since I traveled abroad. So thanks.

You see bottled water on every street vendor at every corner. Its extremely easy, honestly i even drank the water a lot of times and didn't have a problem.. although i can't say i'd recommend that.

Any bottled water is safe, I just bought the cheapest stuff i could buy. If its bottled its safe. Yes the restaurants serve bottled water, but if you're in colombia why drink water. enjoy jugo de lulo and jugo de mora! Also remember if you buy coke, you can't take the glass bottles to go, you gotta return them haha.

Where in Colombia will you be?

I never had a chance to go to Barranquilla, besides getting an empanada at a bus stop, so I can't help much there.. but I have spend time in Cartagena. There's quite a bit to do in Cartagena, I'd say its the safest of all the cities there too. You always need to have your guard up in Colombia, but I would say Cartagena is the place where you can at least feel the most at ease.

When will you be going? If there's anything else I can help with just let me know, I really enjoyed my time in Colombia, you're actually the first person on these boards that I've seen go there.
