I'm sorry they don't have a wider service area. I'd like to try them.

Many new cities were recently added to their service. I wonder how Greyhound will adjust?

Megabus used to have a West Coast service (LA, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Millbrae, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tempe), but it operated for less than a year between 2007-2008.

I was lucky enough to take advantage of the LA-San Francisco route shortly before it ended. I don't remember whether it cost $20 round trip or one-way; either way, dirt cheap.

I've used Megabus frequently on the East Coast. I've done Boston-New York many times, usually for a cost between $1 and $9 each way (depending on the time and date of travel; always booking well in advance). Did New York-DC a few times for the same prices. Also did Toronto-New York several times, usually overnight because the fares were cheaper. I don't remember the exact cost but I wanna say somewhere between $10 and $30 each way.

Did Toronto-Montreal round trip once. Don't remember the exact cost but it was also cheap.

When I first booked NYC to Philly for $2.50 round trip, I thought it was going to be a crappy yellow cheese bus. Turns out it was a great deal and a very comfortable ride. I would recommend it!
