April, went to Dallas for 5 days.

Hoping to get away again around October, was invited by a friend to visit her in Alaska. She gets free plane tickets, but can never find anyone willing to visit.

Officially, February.

But I try to squeeze in side-trips when I'm business trips...was in Europe two weeks ago for work and visited Porto Venere (Italy) one weekend and Dubrovnik (Croatia) the next:

I also work remotely, so spent a few days "working" in London last week, which involved some exploration time as well:

Spent a week in Cancun last month where I officially worked the whole time but still got a lot of beach time in:

Heading to Vegas on Saturday for a long weekend -- again, not taking official vacation days.

I vacation twice a year. Every April and Sept. This past April I visited Costa Rica with my fiance, and in September we are going to St. Marteen.

Fuzz, those photos are beautiful!
July 2011, we (hubby, me, three pre-teen/teen boys) spent nearly a month exploring a great swath of the USA in an ancient minivan. If I had to choose destinations from it: Helena, Montana; Medora, North Dakota; Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; Forevertron in North Freedom, Wisconsin; Chicago; Warren Dunes, Michigan; Niagara Falls; Finger Lakes; Mystic and Essex, Connecticut; New York City; Wildwood, New Jersey; Washington, DC; Badlands; Bozeman, Montana. It was a trip for the ages to be sure. We had a blast. We came home and then spent 5 days in Portland and Seaside, Oregon. That had a tiny amount of work in it, but mostly was for play.

I spent a long weekend in Portland in June, but that was to help a friend move. In August, we will spend a week in Glacier National Park.

Our last trip was Oregon and Washington for almost 4 weeks last Fall. Coming up two weeks in Bruges ( well based in Bruges but we shall do Belgium, Northern France and a bit of the Netherlands as well). Then in May two weeks in Northern Spain ( Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and possibly Basque Country) and so far no idea on our long fall vacation. I was thinking Romania, Hungary and Moldova but not sure yet.
