Last vacation was in October of last year, 12 days in New Orleans.

Typically we take two traveling vacations per year, but most of them are road trips down to California. Every other year we go to New Orleans.

But I am unemployed right now, so I don't know what this year will bring yet.

How often do you feel the need for Vacations?
4 vacations this year, bunched around holidays.

My last one ended two weeks ago.

I have never been outside of the US and have only been to a hand-ful of places. I would love to take my children on a vacation. Our last vacation was in around 2005.

2 months ago in Yucatan (Mexico)
Now I have to wait to go to Thailand (next winter)
Before somebody says I'm rich or privileged : I put all my savings in my annual snowbirding vacations (I fly coach and rent a studio, seldom go to hotels). I feel I'm still privileged though compared to a majority of people who might be far wealthier than me but are not free to leave one month each winter!

We are retired and travel a lot. Last trip was about a month ago to the Rhone-Alpes region of France for a week. Just prior to that we spent a month in Uganda. Next trip is this summer to the US to visit family. In the autumn family visits here and we visit Ireland and around Scotland. Next winter is Thailand.

Depends on what you consider a vacation. If it is a trip for leisure, we went Feb 2012 for a ski week in Tahoe.

But we also went for a short trip to visit family in June 2012.

I doubt we will be going anywhere any time soon, as logistically it is pretty hard right now.

We visited the UK and Rome in Feb/March this year but don't really have anything else planned as we are moving home. Of course we will see plenty driving the 3,500 miles from Alaska to Michigan.

February 2013 in Maui. I wasn't sure if I would like Maui as much as Kauai or Oahu's North Shore, but it won me over.

Up next is about 8 days in July to go see family in Chicago and Wisconsin, but that never really feels like vacation.
