Nice, Moose. What part?

I drove to Passau, Germany; Linz, Austria and Cesky Krumlov, Czech this weekend.

Does that count?

The last time I had a real vacation where I got to go somewhere new just to relax and not because it was work-related or to see family was in Hawaii in 2003-2004 (we rang in the New Year on Maui).

I was in Quidlinburg and Weimar this past weekend, both world heritage sites.
I lucked into a jazz festival in Quidlinburg.

Next week, it's London and Oxford; the week after it's the Vosges in France; then from 12-15 July A'dam and Brussels for some museums.

This work stuff is seriously getting in my way.

Northern Brittany. I had almost forgotten how much I loved it and how beautiful it can be. As a Native Breton it was great to come "home" so to speak albeit for too short a period...

We had fabulous warm weather, the beaches were empty and it was really peaceful and quiet too ! A slightly more advantagous exchange rate also made it a little bit cheaper which is always a bonus !

And please stop making me jealous with all your wanderings, this simply is too much, the green eyed travel monster raises its head every time I read your posts !

Next vacation is almost a month in Portland OR in the Fall , can't wait... I don't know how people manage without going on vacation, I pretty much live for mine !

Oxford is awaiting you with open arms but the weather is a little iffy at the moment I must warn you ! Fancy going Punting on the river ? We love it !

I'm up for anything!
Sushi for lunch sounds great.
Architecture is great, too.

I sent an email with my train schedule.

Breton looks wonderful, I'll add it to my list.

There's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.

I'm sitting at a resort in Thailand (I think there are 5 of us staying here (about 995 empty rooms).... VERY inexpensive). (BTW... I'm ON WORK ASSIGNMENT)

Last week I booked MANY flights for the New England and SE of USA fall colors. 6 weeks will run about $2000 total INCLUSIVE. (travel (at the moment) is cheaper than staying HOME)

I LUV $39 flights on SWA. I booked $139 PNW to Baltimore and use $39 hops to get around the whole east coast.

What a life.... (almost as good as our many Home School Field trips (6-12 weeks)). They were REALLY fun.

Now if gas would only go back tp $.19 / gal... I could use my 20 mpg Motorhome more.

In the meantime I will keep burning FREE grease, And take the $35 car that gets 50 mpg.
