LaGuardia is my least favorite...
What's wrong with LaGuardia? My friend had recommended that I fly into that airport and would have if I did not find the cheaper fare at JFK...

How is it difficult to change planes?

I think Atlanta is one of the easiest to change planes. Many huge airports require going thru outside transportation where you have to go thru security again, or the layout is illogical and confusing since original airport was added to as space allowed.

Atlanta the terminals are lined up in a row simple row (T, A, B, C, D, E) with a train running downstairs between them. I can't think of an easier way.

Me too, I think it's also the biggest airport in the nation. I love the architecture of it as well.

The problem I had with changing planes with a change of airlines is that most of the terminals only had flight info for the airline in that terminal. So to find my terminal and gate, I had to go back out to the front of the airport near the check in lines, get gate info, and come back. With all the cell phone apps to get this info these days, it's probably not so bad anymore.

When changing planes on the same airline, it always seemed like I landed at the far end of the terminal and took off at the far end. Quite a long hike plus riding the train.

I think it depends on the size of the city and the amount of traffic it gets. Do you rank the airport for its amenities, or do you add ease of access/parking, flight availability, and on-time issues?

I like IAH, DFW, ORD & DEN in the summer, TUL & ELP arent very crowded. Also like YVR and forgot Montreals code.

Dislike dumps and slow service at EWR, ATL, MIA, PHI, MSY, STL.

Montreal is YUL for Dorval/Trudeau

I'd add YYC (Calgary) as a really nice airport to get around in. Updated, lots of amenities.

YEG is not great. YVR ranges from decent to crap depending on which terminal/wing you are in.

I also prefer JFK. I hate LaGuardia. I've had many of my flights delayed there, and I'm always worried about safety since they have only a few runways to accomodate the increasing air traffic. The pilots need a lot of skills to land there as well. I don't like the layout either.

I fly us air out of BNA (Nashville) w/connecting flights into PHL (not the greatest, but for me it's the easiest to get around). Flown into & out of Newark (not a friendly place). I love AVP (scranton) never anyone there & VERY small. I use to fly Delta into Cin/Ky (really like that Airport).
