Question Rental Car Question??? Please!

Hello everyone!

I have two questions regarding rental cars.

If you rent a car in 1 state, are you able to deliver it in another??

For example, if you picked it up in CALIF. and dropped it off in KANSAS?? Is that possible, have any of you done that before???

And my second question, how about if you rent it in CALIF. and then return it in TORONTO, Canada?? And or vice versa, if you pick it up in Toronto, then you drop it off in New York City. The second question, if you can do the transaction from Canada to US, and or US to Canada???

Thanks a million for your help!

Take care,
Countrylv22

Yes. It's called a one-way rental. It may cost a bit more though.

If you rent a car from one company and return it to the same company do don't see why you couldn't rent a Hertz in Cali and drop it off at a Hertz location in Canada. Just let them know of your intentions.

Some companbies prefer you dont travel more than one state in their rental cars, but if you find another company that lets you do the distance, let 'me' know!

I've never had any trouble renting a car for cross country travel. I go through Budget and Enterprise most of the time. They also give me unlimited miles. Maybe this is more of a per office policy.
