1. don't know but would think it would be larger due to somewhat lower cost.

3. yep see related => Non stop flights from US to Africa are very rare?

These are easy and common sense answers but if you stop playing the 40 questions game maybe we can answer what your real questions are. We had a post like this the other day - Africa is a varied continent. I've been there 3 times and I can tell you I cannot compare one place to another in the simplistic continent classification you are asking.

To answer #4, I can tell you one does not go to Egypt to go on a safari or national park.

The OP was pretty obviously asking about sub-Saharan Africa, and not Egypt or Morocco.

The answer to all five questions is a fairly unqualified Yes, depending, of course, on the definition of "rare".

then therein lies a need a for more clarification....

OP needs to focus on a country as 'Africa' is not a country. Be like asking about travel to North America

i lived in RSA for a while. met two americans my whole time there and i traveled extensively.

lots of europeans.
