Has anyone ever made a connecting flight in Charlotte? Is it hard to get around there. I have about a 45-50 minute layover and I've never been through there. Thanks.

Yes, Hard to get a round. no different that any other airport, just follow the signs, 45-50 is fine as long as your flight is ontime, (but then if your flight is late the connecting flight will prob be late also) .

Generally not that bad unless you arrive at the very far end of B and have to depart out of E....it can be a bit of a hike.

Even though it is a major hub for USAirways, its nwhere near as bad as their other hub in PHL (or other big hub airports like ATL or ORD).

Thank you both. It looks like I'm arriving at Gate C12 and departing at Gate
E8. I have a copy of the layout of the airport and it doesn't seem like too much of a distance.

Concur. Charlotte is SWEET compared to the bigger airports.

I've made connections in Philly, Denver and Chicago so I guess I shouldn't have any issues.
Thanks again!

I usually fly out of Philly, so I think Charlotte is a piece of cake. In fact, while I prefer direct flights, usually to SXM, if I have to change planes, I prefer Charlotte. Nice atmosphere, good food selections, and nice shops. Even like the rocking chairs.

I just made a connecting flight in CLT 15 minutes later due to a late plane arrival. I had to sprint like OJ (from the Hertz commercials) to get there, jumping around people and over carts, but I made it from C9 to D13 in 5 minutes maybe.

I'll chime in that Charlotte is a pretty easy airport to get around in.

My current vendetta is against SFO. The inter-terminal train is outside of security, so a one hour layover becomes very scary, especially during tourist season.
