Need to go bathroom just go out the window.

If you’re flying on Ryanair, remember what dad always said and do your business before takeoff. Europe’s biggest airline, ever on the cutting edge of new ways to squeeze money out of its flights, had been considering charging passengers to use the bathroom on its flights, but now it’s decided to instead just remove two of the three bathrooms on each plane entirely to make room for more seats, the Independent reports

Ryanair unveils its latest plan to save money: remove toilets from the plane - News & Advice, Travel - The Independent

good god, not this again............

at least the article mentions that the last bathroom related plot (charging for use) was shelved (even though it wasn't really ever a plan)

it's pretty obvious that they like to float these things to get their name in the press and spin it into free advertising more than seriously think about doing some of those things

The majority of Ryanair flights only last two hours, during which not many people use the facilities on board anyway. Their 737-800 only have the capacity of 160 seats, surely one toilet would be enough for that short period. (I don't think I'd ever once used the on board toilet during the 80+ times I flew with Ryanair.)

In addition, their fares are always ridiculously low (not the £40 as mentioned on the article, but more like €25, or $35, all taxes included, for intracontinental flights, and during their many sales yearly, the tickets are only 1 cent each) so I wouldn't mind forgoing the toilet. Ryanair made it possible to fly from one country to another for less than the cost of a decent dinner, toilet notwithstanding. Without them, we wouldn't be able to travel as much as we did in the last 10 years.

I don't understand why people can't take of their business before they get on the plane.

Love it - while I can probably hold it for a few hours if need be, I doubt toddlers can. And I'd happily let my toddler pee in the seat if such non-sense were ever to become a reality. She can't hold it nor will I come up with a way to make her.

I'm sure if a toddler were in line, other passengers would let the child have priority. The airline is not removing all the toilets, and in my experience, there was never a line waiting for Ryanair toilets anyway.

The boss of Ryanair walks into a pub and orders a pint of Guinness.

'That'll be $2 Mr O'Leary' says the barman.

'My word that's very reasonable' he says.

The barman replies 'We aim to please. Now, will you be wanting a glass?'

'Of course.'

'That'll be another $2.'

And what happens in that toilet is out of order on the flight? I think there should be at least 2 toilets available.

Next step : make people fly standing up ("it' lasts only 2 hours after all"). And probably it would
be a success
among the public, because nowadays people would accept to eat **** just to "save a buck". Sad times...
