burglar, contact me when you're in the area.

If you're going to Naples, don't miss Pompeii. There's been some seismic activity in the area and it may cause damage to the town. See it while you can. It's a day trip from Naples. (Personally, I'd scrap Naples for somewhere like Florence or Cinque Terra, but that's just me).

Naples seems really interesting to me, from the first pizza, to the confusion and craziness of the city. Another reason I chose Napoli was for the proximity to Pompeii. I took a class on the history of Europe, and ever since then I've been dying to go.

What do you think of Sicily? It is a bit out of the way, so I am not sure if it is worth the effort or not, what do you think?

Also, what are some things to see in Florence over Napoli? I have always felt Napoli was the most interesting city of Italy.

Naples has a bit more crime than I like, and it's pretty dirty, no major museums. For me, as a solo older woman traveler, I probably won't visit again.

Florence is just a delightful city. It's got history, art, and it's clean and airy. Probably just the things I prefer. The Duomo, Michelangelo's David, the Uffizi museum, Tuscany... It's just personal preference.

I've never been to Sicily, it is a bit out of the way.

If you're interested in cheap accommodations, consider staying in convents in Italy. They're cheap, clean, basic and safe. Most have a curfew and breakfast.

HI Burgler,
its a realy nice route for an Eurotrip.
Im from Berlin and your choice for this city is great.
I've a tip for you to travel all these citys.
Just go by bus its quite a famous way to travel through Europe and its very cheap compared
to the train or the plain.
Look at
"www.fahrtenfuchs.de"
Almost all connections around Europe you could reach there.

have a nice journey
