Do you prefer to fly in the day or at night? And why?

Day. I like to look out the window and see if I can figure out exactly where I am. (That's a little tough on trans-ocean flights. )

Morning flights so I can get there and enjoy myself a bit. I don't sleep well in different places.

I like to take the earliest flight offered, then I can still have the day to enjoy myself..plus as stillkit said, I love looking out the window, never gets old. Plus, I hate waiting to fly, I prefer waking up late and just being in a rush to get there so I don't have to sit around.

Late morning on the way out. I'm about 90 minutes from the NYC Airports, and I don't like to arrive in places too late in the day, with driving at night a new city.
On way way home, I usually leave late in the late afternoon or take the redeye back so I can have more time on vacation.

- never another redeye across the US unless it is absolutely unavoidable

- I avoid arriving late in the evening with a long drive ahead of me.

I prefer evening flights, especially if I have a business meeting teh following day.

If I am coming back from the west coast, I prefer red eyes, when available, especially if it is a Friday night.

Depends where going. If long flight overseas I'll take night every time, that way your sleep schedule is aligned better and you don't really miss a precious day, leave at night arrive in the morning.

I never fly, but I don't like overnight bus trips, I find it very hard to sleep on them. But they do save on hotel expenses, for nights when you don't need one.
