Default Question about keeping something in a backpack

Normally when i fly i take a CD discman, 24 CD holder, a few medication bottles in a student's backpack which i keep under the seat in front of me for takeoff and landing. i keep the baclkpack on my back when wheeling around my carry on

this time i want to replace the CD discman with a 7 inch portable DVD player and keep the 24 CD holder in there as usual. do you think the DVD player(in a foam like case) would be too heavy for the backpack when it goes around my back?

I think the DVD player would be fine, but do you need 24 CDs/DVDs? How long is the flight?

If you are a man and asking this question, I have no words.

If you are a woman, well you should just pack it up and see how it feels, and if it is too uncomfortable, don't do it.

Sorry about your mom...

Is there a redbox/blockbuster nearby? I'd go that route vs lugging all that entertainment with me.

I'd rip it all to my computer/iPad and carry that instead.

I think I must be missing something here... mp3 player? Smart phone? Rip it all to a laptop?
