Poll: How do you prefer to travel?
I prefer to travel by car. I love to look at the scenery while driving and make stops through different cities on the way to my destination. What is your preference and why?

Plane, as there is no other way (except ship which wasn't on the list) to cross the Atlantic.

I guess that would depend on where Im going and how long of a time period I have, to spend there. If its clear across the country for a week, then yeah, Id fly. But road trips arent bad if youre with people you can enjoy it with. A van load of kids that might need to stop every other exit could be a hinderance, as one example, where driving up to the mountains in Tucson with the right group of people has always been nice.

I actually enjoy all the modes listed. I especially enjoy traveling in a big truck and getting paid to be a tourist!

Traveling by car is my choice, because I seldom plan exact routes and can be spontaneous if I want to stop to look at places.
Flying across the Atlantic is terrible. The many hours of flat monotony of the ocean is boring as are the crappy movies. I do like to have a window seat when flying over land on a clear day. It's very fascinating to observe the landscape below.

I love a good road trip, taking my time and enjoying the sites. I prefere to ride a motorcycle but a car is fine.

I love taking road trips. When there isn't a specific destination in mind, or I'm only going to be there for a day or two, taking a trip by car or truck is my preference, because the trip is as much about getting there as it is about being there.
When I do have a specific destination, or time restraints prevent taking a road trip, then I prefer to fly. A good example of this would be a week long ski trip to Colorado, when I only have a week off from work.
I would love to take a long distance train trip, since this is something I've never done. I think it would be like a road trip, but without needing to drive. Of course, I'd probably have to get a rental once I reach my destination, but I still think the trip would be fun.
I have taken the bus for trips of five or six hours, and I don't like it. I would rather drive than take the bus.
