I am yes, and while a majority of others in the hostels were as well, there were definitely older people as well. I shared a room in Berlin with a guy who had to be well into his 70s, and I think it was in Prague where there was a group of 3 women traveling around together, all in their late 50s/early 60s, which I thought was really cool.

I stay in hostels at times when I'm traveling, too, and I'm about to be 60.
But it's mostly a younger person's game, especially when you can get apartments or bnb accommodations for the same price.
Generally speaking, hostels are for the younger set.
