Hello!

So I am driving from Fargo, ND to Las Vegas, NV leaving Saturday at 4AM.
Google Maps Says to go through Wyoming, entering Utah (skipping Idaho all-together)
Mapquest says go through Montana, than south through Idaho.
One of the workers at my hotel here in Fargo says to go through Montana, he said that route is more populated, thus safer.

I hate driving through mountains, I about had a nervous breakdown driving through Western Pennsylvania last year .

Has anyone driven from Bozeman south to SLC on I-15? Is it pretty trecherous? Will I be driving along the edge of a cliff?

Thanks!

I would go west on I-94 thru Montana
continue west I-90 to I-15
south on I-15 to Las Vegas

As for I-15 in Montana, piece of cake
I drove it at night, no problem, no steep grades

Yes, it's cloudy and 48 in Des Moines now. Looking forward to lower 90s (would prefer 100!)
