Lawry's Prime Rib....delicious! Not ON the strip, but not far, either!
Your best bet is to get yourself a guidebook on LV....libraries have them, but you can buy one and take it with you! There's SOOOOOOO much to see if you've never been there! Each hotel/casino is so different...you can spend an entire day or more just wandering through them.
Just outside of Vegas are canyons and mountains.....Hoover Dam is a day trip....Death Valley isn't too far....then,, there's Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire State Park...
Get the guidebook, so you can plan to do the things that interest YOU!!!
We enjoy staying at the S. end of the strip....lots of easily walkable casinos to go to via walkways, or trams.....Hotels that appear to be "right next door" can easily be 1/2 mile away, or further....it's nice to be within actual walking distance of several different places!
Thanks cb. This is a business trip in part so I want to maximize my time. With so many places to see and things to do, it is hard to get in everything I want to do!
It's been a while, but we had a great meal, with Scottish salmon (wild, not farm-raised; the latter, which includes most Atlantic salmon, usually has dyes added), in an upscale restaurant in the MGM Grand. Can't recall the name.
I would also HIGHLY recommend taking the day trip out to see the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The trip is long and the day is exhausting, but man that view is more than worth it!
Wow annuvon! Absolutely great pictures! We won't have enough free time to travel far this trip but seeing the canyon is on my list for next year!
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am here now and am enjoying the strip....so much to see. The meals here in the MGM are quite pricey for the regular dining so have been searching out the smaller restaurants on the strip. I am looking forward to the end of the week so I can explore more.
Does anyone have any info on the zip line down the strip?

You must of went there different time of day than me, sun was on the other side. The pics look nicer than when I was there.
