Default Bed&Fed

Has anyone used this for stays in England or Ireland? There was an article in our newspaper's travel section today and it looked interesting and an affordable way to visit the British Isles.

And how do you go about finding accommodation like this in a place like the UK? How is it different from a B&B?

Search for guest homes / hospitality homes / clubs / vacation lodging in private homes.

If you are over age 50 there are several. Under age forty There are fewer, But there is also CouchSurfing

These are NON-commercial, thus you stay with families and get to know locals. B&B's got real rich blooded, and are ran FOR PROFIT. These guest homes may have a few guests / month, or just a few / yr.

(I'm in 3 clubs and get about 3 stays/yr each)
