So my bday is coming up in sept and I always want to do something big to celebrate me. I had a 7 day cruise planned with a good friend, but I don't want to do that anymore. She is still going solo but my heart is leaning west. I want to go on an escorted tour to California during Labor day weekend. I have searched high and low and can't find the right fit.

I LOVE Cali and I want to be able to venture off on my own and take in the beautiful scenary S.Cal and N.Cal have to offer. My preference is escorted but I dont want it jammed packed.

Suggestions?? I was considering going to Hawaii, but that was a little too costly. I want to avoid the east due to hurricane season.

Suggestions?? I am open to looking into traveling with a singles group although that is not really my preference.

Thanks

If you can drive a bike there are plenty of opportunities to hook up with a group and go explore some of California's most scenic roads,

Do you want to "wander off on your own" or do you want an escorted tour? Take a Grey Line tour to see the major sights in a few hours, then wander off on your own to the areas that attract you. And bring back a nice present for the cruise companion you're leaving in the lurch.

I've been traveling alone for almost 40 years.
Just go.
You'll learn something about yourself every trip.

There's Trek America and Intrepid, but I have no idea if Americans can do it. They hardly ever do but you should be able to.
