All of these posts are great, and cover all of the reasons I like to travel. Some people, like myself, also travel because of some kind of inner quest, a search for whatever, meaning I guess. That's how it started for me, looking for adventure and places that were different.

But for you, if you haven't really travelled, why don't you give it a try? Start small, go somewhere within your budget, somewhere not too challenging, but different. Could be a new city, a road trip, a camping trip, or a flight to the Caribbean or Europe. Once you've tried, you'll know if you want to do more.

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. - Mark Twain

Couldn't say it better myself.

Thanks for the responses guys. I think my trouble was the huge cost but maybe as one poster suggested, I start small and branch out, I'll be able to see the benefits firsthand. Thanks!
