Just got back from a week in the greater Bay area of California. Spent a few weeks in Europe last month. Headed to the mid-West tomorrow for a few days.

This year I've been to Tampa, Orlando and Asheville, NC. I wish it was more but I have a little problem called a job with no paid vacation!

Northern Spain is stunning.

Lille really is lovely, it has changed so much in my lifetime. It used to be a grey, dull and rather depressing dump of a place but has been regenerated so beautifully in such a vibrant place ( I recommend "La Piscine" museum, a converted Art Deco Swimming pool in nearby Roubaix by the way, worth the short drive).
We were in Cantabria, Asturias and Galicia for the 2011 Christmas holidays and it was indeed a wonderful visit. Undiscovered Spain at its best.

(Have been to lovely Lille too and saw the museum but that was three years ago.)

It's been a lot of family stuff for me this year: Our kids at Christmas in Europe, my dad's side of the family in Southern California in the spring, this past long weekend in Colorado for my mom's side of the family.
Would never want to live in CA but love visiting. Denver was beautiful, and I saw lots of elk in the mountains.

We've got Voodoo Experience in New Orleans at the end of October.

By then (if not sooner) I hope to be planning another visit to Europe to see friends and family in 2013.

Just got back from three weeks in Europe about a week and a half ago, spent time in Berlin, Venice, Florence, Valencia, and Amsterdam (probably one of the best trips of my life lol). Have also been back home to Hawaii three times this year granted two of those times were for funerals :-(. Going to New Orleans end of August, New York City in October, Las Vegas in December and hopefully home to Hawaii again for the holidays. :-)
