LOL! I've only traveled to Toronto ... Of course, a 4.5 hour flight isn't anything to sneeze at! I so wanna visit Europe but I have to work up my nerve to do the 10+ hour flight from Los Angeles ... I have never left the continent

But you're getting better!
I'm off to Prague after breakfast.
I found a campsite about 10 minutes from town center.
It's rainy so I'm off to the museum to see Mucha's Slave Epic and then to hear Mozart Opera Highlights at the same venue where one of his operas (Don Giovanni) was first staged. Prague Opera, Ballet and Concert Tickets - July 2012

I had a great weekend traveling around south of Prague near Benesov and Sazava.
There were numerous chateaux and castles.
I couldn't find a highly recommended church in a small village, but found great castles.
Camped in a lovely campground across the river from the Kloster Sazava. It had few amenities, but a kiosk and toilet/showers.
That said, it was an overnight stop over for canoe trips and brought me back to the years when I did white water rafting. Lots of camaradie, laughter and music played on guitar.
Great weekend.
Now I'm becoming obsessed with the castles of Czech.
don't really live anywhere, so always "travelling" somewhere
in the last three months stayed in hotels in these cities
early to mid may: santa barbara, ventura, santa clarita, bakersfield (friends apt)
late may to mid june: detroit, livonia, romulus
mid june to end of june: seattle, mount vernon, surrey BC (friends house)
early july to mid july: baltimore MD, columbia MD, new york city, NY
mid july until present: las vegas. kind of in limbo right now. have an offer to go to philly and DC for a quick job, but pay isn't enough for me to take the plunge. my friend i came to vegas with left a few days ago to go to alaska. i don't really want to go up there either, so like i said in limbo. want to leave tho i hate this town.
Since I got home from Florida in the spring, I flew to San Francisco for a few days, took a cruise up to Alaska, went and spent a few days in the islands north of Seattle, then a few days in Vancouver.
Was in Montreal a couple of weeks ago, and have spent 3 weeks up at my cottage on the Ottawa river.
No more exotic locations off the continent for a while, until next year. Will be off to Florida again in November, might be in the Caribbean next winter.
I recently returned from a business trip in Ukraine. I was able to visit L'viv in the west of Ukraine. A very beautiful city with buildings dating back hundreds of years. L'viv is the cultural capital of Ukraine. I brought back some t-shirts, chocolates and red pepper vodka. Also there are many beautiful women in Ukraine. It seems like they really like to take the time to look good in public. The weather would range from mild to somewhat hot and humid with rain. With the forests and fauna it reminded me of the Pacific Northwest. I also had some great culinary experiences. Borscht soup is very good. Also the exchange rate is about eight grivna per dollar. Things overall were cheap. I would recommend anyone visit L'viv for vacation.
