I'm just curious about those who have used their other passports and came back to the US. I know i'll have to use my US passport to exit and enter the country. Will immigration detain me if they don't see a visa stamp on my US passport because I used my other passport? Thanks in advance!

It'll be fine. All you need is your US passport to go through US immigration. Use the Thai passport to enter and exit Bolivia. You need the entry and exit stamps in the same passport, or there will be a problem.
I did the same thing the other week going to Brazil to bypass their $100+ visa using an EU passport.
Good luck.
