I tried to do some research on here for peoples opinions regarding flying on the above two airlines. I am trying to book a ticket from Boston to a country in Europe and these are the two airlines that keep coming up to choose from. I googled Turkish and their crash & accident rates were listed in the "red"! I am not an experienced flyer to europe..so any thoughts or experience in flying these airlines would be much appreciated. By the way, I'm a nervous flyer! Thank you.

I flew Turkish Airlines several years ago and my brother's family flew with them this summer. We both choose Turkish Airlines due to the fact that they had the cheapest fares available. Personally I didn't like the way their airline food was seasoned and perhaps that is why I had some digestive problems after flying with them. As far as I know my brother's family didn't have that issue. I do know that my brother's family outbound flight from LAX was delayed causing them to miss their connection in Istanbul and therefore they had to wait several hours for the next connecting flight. (I don't know why their first flight was delayed.)
