I am getting on a domestic United Airlines flight at 6:00 a.m. on a Thursday this month. Is the TSA screening busy at this time in the morning?

Any airport security should be bearable at 6am or before.

Impossible to say. At some airports I have seen long lines very early in the morning because there were several flights leaving early in the morning.

Many airports have websites giving the current wait times. You could check a few times.

You should be OK for a 6 am flight. I have been there recently for an 8 am flight and the lines were very long, but the PDX TSA is well staffed and efficient and it only took about 12 minutes to get through security.

6AM on Thursday is not Usually too bad. But I would give yourself 1/2 hr to get from car to gate.

I left a couple weeks ago at 11AM on a Weds and it was worst I've ever had at PDX it took 20 min (line was back to the 'pass through' from ticketing (On both ends). I often take the road less traveled (B or C) and walk the new 'terminal connector behind cafes / shops).

You obviously haven't been to Orlando.

Correct, I haven't.

Babies and stollers really slow down the line, I reckon.

They put them and the wheelchairs into a separate line and it can still be 45-60 minutes to get through security. And there is no line for high status frequent flyers, if you want a shorter wait, the only choice is buying into the Clear program.

Ouch. I guess I am lucky to be in driving distance from Atlanta. I know the Atlanta-Orlando flights are pretty insane sometimes.

Most airports I have been to that early are pretty navigable in the early morning, but I guess there is an exception to every rule.

I've never had a flight that early, but yeah, PDX isn't bad at all as far as the TSA from my experience.
