Discount codes or strategies for Airtran/United? (airlines, best, price)

I need to book a flight from CHI to ATL on Fri Dec 21 on Airtran -and-

a return flight from ATL to CHI on Sun Jan 6th on United

I'd like to try to get a 10-20% or so discount on the rates they're currently offering...which I know will be difficult since it's holiday time.

Does anyone have any coupon codes or suggestions for trying to get a discount?

As far as I can tell, what you see on the United website (which will be pretty much what you see on the travel websites) will be the best you can do. Small changes in the date could have an impact on the price however.

You're talking peak travel season here. It is not reasonable to expect bargains.
